APA-ISS Region 5 Citizen Planner Workshop

The Southwest Illinois Section (Region 5) of the Illinois Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA), the St. Louis Metro Section (SLMS) of the APA, and community planners in the Metro East are again hosting an evening of planning and zoning training / discussion for appointed and elected officials in the region! 

We invite you to attend our FREE training workshop designed to provide guidance to those who review zoning applications, subdivision proposals, variances, and comprehensive plans. The evening will also feature a “roundtable” discussion with Chairpersons of MetroEast municipal P&Z’s who will answer questions on running an effective meeting, discuss how your Comp Plan can help guide tough land use decisions, and talk about when to abstain from voting, among other topics. New and veteran officials are welcome and encouraged to attend!
