Chicago Metro Section Director

I have been intimately involved with the American Planning Association since beginning planning school in 2016. I have had the privilege of serving as the Chicago Metro Section’s Treasurer since January 2019. Prior to that, I was the UIC Student Representative to the APA-IL Executive Committee. And I was thrilled last year to have become certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners. These experiences have given me a thorough knowledge of the work required to make the Section effective and responsible. As Director, my aim is to continue coordinating with partners to offer high-quality education and networking opportunities that meet the needs of NE Illinois planners and associated professionals. My specific emphasis will be on representing all planners and types of planning in Section offerings – in the topics, presenters, and event types and locations.

In my work at Elevate, I focus on water and stormwater planning issues with municipalities throughout the region and in coordination with other planners, engineers, advocates, and government representatives at all levels.
