Elber “Al” Maiden, AICP a lifelong Lake County, Illinois resident passed away Friday, June 25, 2021. Al was born August 26, 1949 in Waukegan, Illinois. Al was a huge part of the growth and development of Lake County over the last 5 decades working as a village planner and developer for several Lake County communities as a member of Rolf C. Campbell and Associates as well as Manhard Consulting. He also volunteered for many years with the Area 2 Agency on Aging and the Fremont (Mundelein) Library Board.

A Celebration of Life is being held in his honor at McMurrough Funeral Home, 101 Park Pl, Libertyville, Illinois on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Friends and family along with acquaintances are all welcome. Anyone wishing to share a memory of Al we are asking for an open floor at 7:30pm for anyone who wishes to speak.
