Think Like A City: A Framework Plan for Remaking Places

The 'Think Like a City' submission was extremely interesting. This subarea study provides a great historical context of the area and incorporates the tenets of plan making, but it also encompasses the concept of "thinking a like a city" that applies to place making and urban planning concepts.
Not every community has a medical district, but this is transferable to other areas affected by urban renewal that are trying to reimagine and redevelop their neighborhoods. It is also transferable to other medical districts across the country.
This document is very graphically engaging, while still including substantive writing on each page to explain plan content.
The “Think Like a City" submission demonstrated the incorporation of innovative ways to garner input (bingo/Christmas tree lighting). Additionally, the plan took into account the residents of the area and presented ways to incorporate the use of space by the residents into their plan.
