Adapting to Climate Change (Part IV): Carbon sequestration – Panel Discussion & Big Marsh tour

Ford Calumet Environmental CenterAPA-IL Chicago Metro Section and ILASLA are partnering yet again for a planner and landscape architect’s look at adapting to climate change. This is the 4th event in the series!

  • 2021 – Stormwater & Flooding
  • 2022 – Extreme Heat
  • 2023 – Air Quality
  • 2024 – Carbon Sequestration (NEW!)

Urban forestry, land conservation, tree and plant biomass conservation, and restored/preserved prairies are among the topics that will be discussed on Nov 2nd. Join us in the Ford Calumet Environmental Center and then lace up your hiking boots for a walking tour of Big Marsh!

This is a family-friendly weekend event, so feel free to bring the fam. And, since it’s at Big Marsh, consider loading up the mountain bikes and making an afternoon of it. Lunch will be provided.
