Emily Egan, AICP

APA-IL President-Elect

Emily is the Development Services Director in the Village of Oak Park, IL. Her Department has a wide range of services related to planning and urban design, permitting and development, parking and mobility services, and economic vitality.  Her work has centered on community driven economic development, placemaking, multi-modal transportation planning, and long-range zoning and planning projects.

Emily is President Elect for the American Planning Association’s Illinois Chapter, a friend of the Municipal Design Review Network advisory committee, a Women in Planning and Development Board alumna, and a member of Lambda Alpha International.  She enjoys camping, cycling, and spending time with friends.

Emily will serve as the APA-IL President-Elect for 2025. Her term as President will be for 2026-2027. She will become Past-President in 2028.
