Strong Attendance at River Forest Plan Commissioner Training – 7/31/25

On July 31, 2025, the Village of River Forest hosted a commissioner training session. Members from four commissions, an elected official, and municipal staff attended the session, and discussion was held on topics such as the roles and responsibilities of commissioners, findings of fact, and zoning standards and the LaSalle Factors. The training session was presented by Mike Schwarz, AICP, Village of Frankfort, and Tom Farace, AICP, Village of Carol Stream.

Join the APA-IL's training faculty for a virtual training on October 29, 2025. This training is open to all planning officials, boards, commissions, and staff. It is a great refresher for your commissioners or to get a new commissioner up to speed.
