5/28 Annual APA-CMS Bike Tour (CM | 1.5)
Join the Chicago Metro Section for our annual Bicycle Tour! We're back in Chicago this year and will feature the Granville Avenue Complete Streets project, on Granville Avenue between Sheridan Road and Kedzie Avenue. CDOT designed traffic safety improvements and a neighborhood greenway to make the corridor safe for all users while connecting parks, schools, trails, local businesses, and the CTA Red Line.
Logistics:
- Plan to arrive by 3:15 PM (or earlier!) so we can start rolling at 3:30 PM.
- Dress for the weather, and bring water.
- TOUR MEETING SPOT: at the Divvy station at the corner of Broadway & Granville Ave., next to the Granville CTA Red Line station (map). Divvy should be in stock bikes at a station.
- A code for a free Divvy bike ride will be shared in your confirmation email.
- SOCIAL LOCATION (after the tour, about 5:00 pm): Dairy Star Ice Cream of Lincolnwood

Speakers
Brad Huff, AICP serves as the Interim Director of Complete Streets for the Chicago Department of Transportation where he oversees the planning of Chicago's on-street bikeway, pedestrian, and bus networks, including the development of citywide strategies and neighborhood network plans. Previously he served as CDOT's Bikeways Program Manager, overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of over 150 miles of bikeways, establishing the Neighborhood Bike Network program, and developing the Chicago Cycling Strategy.
